Spark Coolers

In a variety of process applications, sparks are generated in concentrated amounts, posing a risk of fire and/or explosion. The Spark Cooler is an in-line device that creates a point of increased turbulence, breaking up the protective bubbles around the sparks and allowing the air stream to immediately cool and arrest the sparks. The Spark Cooler extinguishes sparks with air rather than water, and works to prevent duct and bag house fires or burn damage to filter media. With reliable, predictable performance, the Spark Cooler (also know as a spark suppressor, spark eliminator, spark reducer, spark quincher and spark trap) reduces the life and frequency of hazardous sparks within industrial exhaust systems. The Spark Cooler is very easy to install and requires very little space. Sizes from 6" to 60".
